Making an effective pink lip balm

BEETROOT

This is one of the most inexpensive home remedies to get pink lips naturally.The coloring pigments betanin and vulgaxanthin in Beetroot juice acts as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory that helps lighten the dark pigmentation or discoloration in your lips and protects the lips from sun damage, while leaving it Plump and pink.

You can purchase fresh beetroot from a local fruit shop, or direct from farmers. Then you need to extract the reddish juice

How To Extract Beetroot Juice.

Wash the beetroot properly under a clean running water. Peel off the outer layer of the beetroot. Grate the beetroot into smaller particles using the small side of the grater. The squeeze the grated beetroot to extract the liquid reddish juice.

If you don’t have access to beetroot juice you can as well use the powder.

You can order the powder online or get it from a grocery store.

Then pour the powder in a clean bowl, and pour warm water on it, leave it covered for some minutes, the water is going to turn reddish. Then extract the water. Your beetroot juice is ready to use.

BEESWAX

LACTIC ACID

  • 2 Tablespoon Beeswax
  • 1 Teaspoon Lactic acid
  • 2-3 Tablespoon beetroot juice
  • 1 Teaspoon Shea-butter or Coco butter
  • 1 Teaspoon Vitamin E oil.

Guide on how to make your pink lip balm

Step 1: Get a clean sauce pan or pot.

Step 2: Cut your beeswax into small pieces or chunks. (To enable it melt or dissolve faster)

Step 3: Pour your beeswax into the sauce pan or pot.

Step 4: Place the sauce pan or pot containing the beeswax on a medium heat. Either on a gas cooker or a stove top. Just ensure the heat Is medium so as not to burn the wax. Be sure to keep watch for some seconds you’ll see the beeswax melting into liquid form. Keep stirring while the melting process is going on, to enable every particles of the beeswax to dissolve properly.

Step 5: After the beeswax must have completely melted. Bring it down from the heater.

Step 6: Then add the Shea-butter or cocoa butter, and keep stirring, the wax will still be hot, so the butter will definitely melt immediately.

Step 7: After the butter must have melted in the hot Wax. Wait  about a minute, to allow the beeswax cool. Then add your lactic acid, beetroot juice and vitamin E oil, while you keep stirring thoroughly.

Properly stir the mixtures together, Then allow the mixture to cool a-little bit more before transferring it into a clean plastic  container, so as not to  melt the container.

While the mixture is in the storage allow it to completely cool and solidify onward. There you have it, you’ve successfully achieved your aim on making an effective pink lip balm at home.

SUMMARY
