A Powerball ticket bought in New Jersey for Wednesday’s lottery drawing matched five numbers and is worth $2 million, officials said.

The ticket didn’t match the Powerball number or it would have won the $372.5 million jackpot. It was, however, bought with the Power Play option for an extra $1, making it worth $2 million instead of the standard $1 million second-prize.
New Jersey Lottery officials will disclose the retailer that sold the lucky ticket later Thursday morning.
No one across the country hit the jackpot, pushing the top prize for Saturday’s drawing to an estimated $400 million with a cash option of $240.8 million. There were no other second-prize tickets sold nationally for Wednesday’s drawing.
Wednesday’s winning numbers were: 20, 30, 45, 55 and 56. The Power Ball drawn was 14 with a Power Play of 2X.
In addition, no one hit the secondary, $10 million drawing that followed the main drawing on Wednesday. The winning numbers were 4, 15, 16, 21 and 52. The Double Play Power Ball drawn was 20.
No one has bought a jackpot-winning ticket since a $185.3 million ticket was sold in Connecticut for the Feb. 14 drawing.
The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers and win at least $1 million, while the odds are 913,129 to 1 of winning the third prize of at least $50,000.
